Art & Design
The course is ideal for those who have artistic flair and a passion to share this talent and enthusiasm with young people. Learning in a classroom requires professionalism, organisation, planning, preparation and excellent subject knowledge across the range of disciplines in Art and Design.
The Biology course is perfect for those who find Science exciting and challenging who are then able to share this enthusiasm with young people. Trainees will experience lessons across a range of ages and attainment, reflecting the diverse needs of students in our schools.
The Chemistry course is perfect for those who find Science exciting and challenging who are then able to share this enthusiasm with young people. Trainees will experience lessons across a range of ages and attainment, reflecting the diverse needs of students in our schools.
On the NTTP Computing course, students will train towards a professional teaching qualification, achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The course requires a study of academic literature and completion of professional assignments, alongside two school based placements.
The Dance course at NTTP offers opportunity to work with a fantastic team of practitioners and amazing students. You will be challenged to be creative, to be engaging and to get a wide a range of young people motivated to dance. Throughout your training, you will be supported to develop your classroom management skills, your lesson planning and your own subject knowledge will be enhanced. The course prepares you to teach across KS3 and GCSE groups and there will be opportunity to work with extra-curricular groups. You will need to be self motivated, organised and willing to learn, in return you will be rewarded with the joy of working with young people and seeing their progress in Dance.
Design Technology teachers need to have broad subject knowledge as they can be asked to teach a number of specialisms. This course will give you the knowledge and understanding needed to teach at least two specialisms to KS3 and at least one to KS4 level.
Training to be a Drama teacher with NTTP will give you many opportunities. You will work with a team of experienced and inspirational teachers, who are prepared to share their knowledge with you. You will develop your classroom skills, plan and deliver lessons across KS3 and GCSE. You will be guided to improve your practice at every step and you will be forever learning. You will be able to get involved in the extra curricular activities of the Drama departments and see your students in new light. There are amazing students who are waiting to be challenged by your creative and engaging lessons.
Whilst training to be an English Teacher with NTTP you will explore a wide ranging content, develop knowledge and skills which will enable you to become an effective and inspiring classroom practitioner across both English Language and Literature.
When you study Geography on the NTTP programme you receive a practice-led, hands on experience. Subject Studies and General Professional Study sessions enhance your knowledge of teaching and learning and help to develop your pedagogy.
Whilst training to be a History Teacher with NTTP you will explore a wide ranging content, and be expected to convey the subject with passion and enthusiasm to students.
