Specialist Leaders of Education
SLEs (Specialist Leaders of Education) are outstanding professionals in middle and senior leadership positions (such as deputies, subject leaders, phase leaders, school business managers) who have the capacity, skills and commitment to support others in similar positions.
In the Northampton Town and County Teaching School Alliance, SLEs are commissioned to work with specific schools to bring about school improvement by sharing effective practice and their outstanding knowledge. SLEs will also work with trainee teachers and contribute to professional development training within and beyond the alliance. Our Specialist Leaders of Education know what outstanding practice in their area of specialism looks like and have the skills to help others achieve it.
We have a team of 14 SLEs with a range of specialisms who are able to support in other local schools. If you would like to find out more information about how an SLE can be deployed in your school then please email [email protected]
If you are interested in becoming an SLE, then please also contact us on [email protected]
Our SLE’s are listed below. Please do not contact an SLE directly as deployments must come through the Teaching School Alliance.
