Internship Programme - Maths and Physics
If you have the ability to inspire, feel that you can make a difference to young people’s lives and you have been thinking of a career teaching Mathematics or Physics, then you may be interested in our Paid Internship programme for undergraduates.
We are one of a small number of schools nationally, approved by the Department for Education, to provide an internship programme for undergraduates at university.
Interns will be paid £300 per week during the 4 week placement which will be in June/July 2019.
We will provide opportunities to:
- Learn about key aspects of the pedagogy of teaching;
- Gain classroom experience and get involved in lessons;
- Work with existing experienced teachers;
- Work with a range of students;
- Receive support and advice with UCASTT applications
Applicants must be studying a subject with Mathematics or Physics content included in it, although not essential, it would be beneficial to have gained some experience working with children.
Final application deadline: 23rd April 2019
